Internorga: Saro Gastro-Products in Dialogue with the Industry
For over five decades, Saro Gastro-Products has been a reliable partner for the hospitality, hotel, and institutional catering sectors. At this year’s Internorga trade fair in Hamburg, we once again demonstrated what matters most in modern foodservice: energy efficiency, functional design, and true partnership.
Focus on Innovation and Sustainability
Our newly designed exhibition booth was met with a positive response—not only because of its modern appearance but also due to the clear focus on product innovations. Instead of an overwhelming product portfolio, the trade fair team, led by our Sales Director Clemens Hardering, presented selected highlights from the current catalogue, including the new PRO series of energy-efficient refrigeration units and the stylish Black Line cooking series.
“With the PRO series, we are addressing a key topic in the industry. Energy efficiency is not only about saving costs but also about advancing sustainability,” said Clemens Hardering.
Particular interest was shown in the new bar fridge with glass doors and drawers, as well as the compact countertop refrigeration unit—both ideal for kitchen concepts that are conscious of energy use and space.
In the field of cooking technology, the displayed Black Line units impressed with their thoughtful functionality and attractive design. “We notice that in open kitchens, design is playing an increasingly important role,” Hardering explained. The stand featured an induction range, an induction wok, and a griddle plate—units that impress both technically and visually.
Personal Encounters Strengthen Partnerships
Despite a slightly lower number of visitors—possibly due to weather or school holidays—we take a consistently positive view of Internorga 2025. The conversations with partners and customers were constructive and goal-oriented. Some projects were even finalized directly at the booth.
“For us, it’s especially important these days that our partners can experience the equipment live,” emphasized Hardering. “Quality and value can only be conveyed digitally to a limited extent—personal interaction at the booth remains irreplaceable.” The presentation of the new catalogue, featuring around 400 product innovations, also offered a great opportunity to engage in dialogue with retailers and customers.
Trends and Challenges
One thing was clear at Internorga: sustainability and energy efficiency are no longer buzzwords—they are decisive factors. At the same time, the importance of aesthetic design continues to grow—a trend to which Saro is responding with the Black Line, a series that combines technology and style.
However, Clemens Hardering voiced concern over rising trade fair costs: “Annual price increases and the trend towards ever-taller booths are putting traditional booth concepts like ours under pressure,” noted the Sales Director. This development puts smaller exhibitors at a disadvantage in terms of visibility—something trade fair organizers should reconsider.
Outlook: Moving Into a Strong Business Year Together
With the momentum of a successful trade fair, we now look optimistically towards the current business year. “The interest is there, many projects are underway. Now it’s about carrying the positive energy from Hamburg forward,” concluded Hardering.
